I’m incredibly honoured to share that I’ve been named a finalist in the KPMG UK Black Entrepreneurs’ Awards 2025, recognised in the Most Promising Large Business category!

This recognition is deeply personal. My entrepreneurial journey was born out of pain — the loss of my father and father-in-law in 2004, both to undiagnosed diabetes. That experience shattered me but also shaped me. It fuelled a passion to change how healthcare is delivered, especially for those who are too often overlooked or underserved.

Turning Pain into Purpose

From that moment, I knew I wanted to create something that would make healthcare more accessible, equitable, and empowering. That vision gave birth to CheckUp Health — an AI-powered multilingual digital platform co-developed with the NHS, designed to bridge health inequalities and improve access to care.

Every innovation we build is rooted in empathy and real-world understanding. For me, technology isn’t just about efficiency — it’s about human connection and impact. Through CheckUp Health, we’re reimagining primary care by combining clinical insight, AI, and cultural understanding to support patients and clinicians alike.

A Journey That Knows No Borders

As a Black woman in healthtech, every step of this journey has reinforced my belief that diversity drives better innovation. It’s our lived experiences, our communities, and our shared resilience that inspire solutions capable of transforming systems.

My Reflection

“What started as pain became my purpose.
Through technology and collaboration, I’ve turned that purpose into impact — building pathways to better, more inclusive healthcare for all.”

Together, let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI, digital health, and global entrepreneurship.
