Honoured to Be Ranked #2 in the TechRound BAME 50 Entrepreneurs Under 50

I am incredibly humbled and honoured to announce that I have been ranked #2 in the TechRound BAME 50 Entrepreneurs Under 50 for 2024. This recognition celebrates a journey of resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to making healthcare equitable and accessible for all through technology.

My story began when I immigrated to the UK in 2000 as a qualified nurse. Through hard work, determination, and a passion for creating change, I founded CheckUp Health, a pioneering AI-driven GP platform that is transforming primary healthcare from Wolverhampton to the world.

CheckUp Health is more than just a digital tool; it is a platform developed by a diverse team with over a century of combined experience. Together, we empower clinicians and GP administrative teams with bespoke AI tools, multilingual capabilities, and seamless NHS integration to streamline workflows and enhance decision-making.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we introduced remote monitoring modules that saved the NHS an estimated £4 million, while helping hundreds of patients manage chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes.

The TechRound BAME 50 celebrates exceptional entrepreneurs from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds who are driving innovation and transforming industries. Being ranked second is not just a personal milestone but also a reflection of the amazing work being done by my team at CheckUp Health.

Our work focuses on addressing health inequalities by creating solutions that are inclusive and culturally competent. Whether it’s through multilingual care delivery, AI-driven patient management tools, or seamless integration with existing NHS systems, we are redefining what it means to deliver equitable healthcare.

This recognition is a testament to the impact that innovation, diversity, and purpose-driven work can have on society.
